I have a beef with the groundhogs that live around my yard. They are inbred Cheweenies, who are sweet and dumb. We all live far from each other so not a big deal… My siblings are not talking to each other. One strand of lights on my pre-lit Christmas tree went out yesterday. Our tree is very tall (and we’re both over 6 feet) so… Is that still a thing? I thought they were just called seditionists at this point. Oh yeah, there's totally easier and harder shapes! I have a few that I just don't use because they're tough… Although they have gotten so awful I haven’t bought anything from them all season. …& I mean everywhere…every bar, restaurant, shop, cafe, motorway service station, hotel lobby…on the radio while we were driving…at one point we were in a park & a band set up while we weren’t looking & played it as their opening number…it started on the ferry across the channel & when it showed up the first place we stopped after getting off that we joked about it…by day two it was eerie…by the end of the fortnight it had passed through surreal & into a sort of superstitious belief that so long as it kept happening until we got home everything would work out but if the streak was broken we’d probably all wind up dying horribly or something…all of which sounds insane…but really doesn’t do justice to the entirely crazy way this tune followed us that whole tripĪmazon. …spring break wasn’t a thing as such where I went to school…but in terms of a tune I couldn’t get away from there’s really only one I can think of that literally stalked me for a whole trip…it might seem like I must have brought it on myself since it’s not exactly a secret I’m a fan of the movie…but for a couple of weeks in europe one time (mostly but not entirely in france) this came on everywhere we went I thought it would be fun.” “I’ve had two root canals and they were-” “Just eat and take notes and make it when we get back to New York.” These are my friends and I went to college with them.” “You’re joking.” “That’s how I got this reservation. “Better Half, this is really intolerable.” “Be quiet for once. “Give it up for Jimmy Boston! I asked the server, “Is Jimmy Buffett actually here and going to perform?” That, I thought, would be kind of interesting, but I’m not a Jimmy Buffett fan either and why he’d be in this restaurant…”No, it’s just a promotion. Many years ago we were at a restaurant in Boston, I wish I could remember the name because the food was very good, BUT some local radio station was having some kind of Jimmy Buffett live broadcast from there.
